Went to Mission BBQ for some post Turkey day lunch. Here is the review. Starting with the Brisket. I got it moist, which is my preferred way to eat it. Little more fat and just adds extra flavor. Here, the brisket is well cooked, good flavor, bark is a bit lacking but the meat flavor is good. One of my favorite things about Mission BBQ is the different types of sauces they have. 6 on the table and a white sauce in the back if you ask. With the brisket I went with the Memphis belle and KC Classic. Normally I would give a description but the 6 table sauces cover the whole spread and the description on the bottle holders do a great job. There is a sauce for everyone here.
Next I got a 5 bone side of spare ribs. The ribs are served dry so you can pick your sauce. I went with the Smokey Mountain sauce. I think the flavor profile matches up well with the rub on the ribs. Now my ribs were cooked so that they fell off the bone. It took a bit of effort to make sure the bone stayed in to eat the meat.
For dessert they had a seasonal caramel bread pudding. Boy oh boy this was good. The caramel on mine was more towards the bottom but it tasted like bread pudding should. Not to sweet with a bit of salty. If it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream it would be the perfect ending to the meal. Even without the ice cream it was still very good.
